Homeowners are often unclear about how to work with an interior decorator or interior designer. This interior design Fee Schedule should answer some of your questions:

Full- Service Interior Design

Julie McCarthy Designs – Decorating Den Interiors provides full-service interior decorating. These services include the initial design and product selections as well as ongoing project management responsibilities like ordering, tracking (i.e., order status and shipping and delivery schedules), and product installation oversight responsibilities.

Design Consultations:
For an hourly fee of $125, I provide design consultations with a minimum of one hour. An eight-hour day rate is also available for $500 per day and a four-hour half day rate is $250.

• Selecting paint colors and wall coverings
• Evaluation and re-use of existing home furnishings
• Selecting finish and surface (i.e., bathroom and kitchen tile, flooring, hardware, sinks, faucets and appliances).
• 3D design that allows you to envision your space from ceiling to floor.

3Dream

For many homeowners, one of the most challenging parts of decorating is visualizing the final results. We use 3Dream software to give clients a better idea of how our proposed room layout will look and how the elements will feel in the space.

Our fee for using 3Dream software ranges from $250  to $500 depending upon the size and scope of the project.

Project Pricing

Each decorating project we undertake, whether a single room or the whole home, is based on a budget that is agreed on before the design process starts. This way you always know how much you are spending. You may want to start with updating your home with wallpaper and some new pillows and art. Or you may want to redecorate a complete room. Whatever the size project, we will work with you on a realistic budget. We will always be honest with you and help you manage the expectations of your budget.
