To understand the full scope of the project, we will offer a one-hour complimentary initial consultation at the project location, typically your home or office. We’ll discuss the specifics of your project, help determine the investment and make some preliminary design suggestions. We look forward to getting to know you as much as you want to get to know us!
During the consultation, we will take a brief tour of your home or office. This helps us understand the space, lighting and other elements that should be considered in the design plan. Your style and functionality for each space, along with identifying existing furnishings that should be included in the plan, are mutually determined. An inventory and photographs are taken, along with room measurements, so we can create an outstanding design just for you. Before the design process begins, both style and a budget are agreed upon.

In our workshop, sketches, renderings and floor plans are created. We will pull together a variety of design and product options, all personalized for you. During our follow-up appointment, we reveal our recommendations for creating the space of your dreams using 3D software. 3D renderings provide clients with a really good idea of how your proposed room layout will look and how elements will feel in the space. Together, we’ll make the selections and discuss any adjustments necessary to the design plan.
We take care of all the logistics, including delivering and installing furniture, fixtures, and materials, managing custom pieces, and coordinating with subcontractors. We handle every last detail. Sit back and relax as your space is transformed into your dream home!
What happens if I do not like the designs you show me?
At Julie McCarthy Designs, our number one priority is listening to the needs of our clients. Before selecting designs, we take the time to consider the preferred styles and colors of our clients. We do offer a one-time complimentary revision, in the event that you are unhappy with the design. This rarely happens, most of our clients are very pleased with the styles we present them.
When should I expect to receive my items?
This depends on the scope of the project and the products involved. Case goods and accessories are already made therefore it will take about 4 weeks for you to receive those particular items. Due to the unique nature of custom pieces, you should expect these items to take about 12-16 weeks to arrive.
