Meet Julie

Julie McCarthy Bay City Interior Decorator

Interior design is more than a passion for me. You could say it’s in my blood. Growing up in Troy, Michigan, I was surrounded by a rich tapestry of architecture and design. My Dad was a builder, so I grew up around building sites and model homes. That led me to pursue interior design. After working for others, I wanted to expand on my experience, which includes kitchen and bath design, and build my own interior design business.

Bay City is a waterfront city incorporated in 1865,  known for its historic architecture. The city offers a variety of recreational activities, including boating, fishing, scenic riverfront walks, and a diverse selection of restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions. Bay City is also famous for hosting events such as the Tall Ship Celebration and summer concerts, making it a great destination for residents and visitors.

Downtown Bay City – Downtown Bay City is a vibrant area along the Saginaw River, known for its historic buildings, unique shops, and dining options. The downtown district hosts many events throughout the year, including festivals and concerts making it a lively spot for residents and visitors. With attractions like the Riverwalk, art galleries, pop-up shops, and local breweries, Downtown offers a charming mix of culture and recreation.

Bay County Community Center – The Bay County Community Center offers various amenities for sports and community events. It features a gymnasium suitable for basketball and volleyball, meeting rooms for gatherings, and hosts a summer recreation program for youth.

Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum – The Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum, a non-profit corporation in established in 1997 plays a significant role in preserving naval history and educating the public about the United States Navy’s heritage. The museum is centered around the USS Edson, a retired United States Navy destroyer.
